Yep, such things happen here sadly, stupidity is sadly not absent here. An employee at the same dealership once forgot his handbrake and had his Audi A3 roll into the water on a more gradual slope there.
Not that you can do that with a PDK GT3 RS. However the Porsche is rumored to have had its brake calipers removed to repaint them in the colour of the stripes. Here is some photo evidence:
So it’s pretty stupid of them to park a car with no brakes on the edge of a lake. What probably happened is that somebody wanted to move it, but did not know about the lack of brakes.

Wow, that’s such an edge case. What impossibly bad luck.

Damn, that sucks. That explains so much. I thought the mechanic drove it in because pdk cars don’t roll.

You know you’d think a waterfront dealership with lots of 100,000 dollar and up, cars would, you know build a freaking guard rail.
Fender benders are a lot cheaper than falling off a 5 foot ledge and into the river.

Yeah, have been always wondering that, every time I pass by this dealer (not that often maybe a few times a year). I would have thought they had learned from the previous accident with the employees car, but no they are so stupid they rather show off the cars than keep them dry I guess.

I bet you could make a mostly Plexiglas, rail that woud be enough to stop a car going mph or so, but still be see though. It wouldn’t be cheap, but again neither is wrecking a GT3 RS.
AMGtech - now with more recalls!

If that’s the case I would guess it was a salesman, they love moving cars out of the shop without asking anybody about them first. Hood up halfway through the service and no oil in the engine but the mechanic isn’t around? That car is free for the taking! Actually I just had it happen yesterday, just finished a service and was about to do a recall and the sales department grabbed the car before I could do the recall, luckily it was a lease return and no longer belonged to a customer.
